What is the brightest dimmable batten light go up to?

Our brightest dimmable LED battens output up to around 10,000 lumens on a 6ft fitting, making them ideal for high-bay warehouses and large industrial spaces. These high-output models hold full brightness when undimmed and scale down smoothly when you need less light.

Do dimmable LED batten lights reduce energy consumption?

Yes, dimmable LED batten lights cut energy consumption through efficient LED technology and by letting you lower output when full brightness isn’t needed. Dimming to suit daylight levels or occupancy reduces running costs even further.

What is the lifespan of dimmable LED batten lights?

LED batten lights typically last between 30,000 and 50,000 hours, giving many years of service in commercial and industrial settings. Running them at lower levels whilst dimmed can extend that lifespan further by reducing heat and component stress.

How many dimmable batten lights do I need?

The number you need depends on your ceiling height, floor area and target lux level, so a warehouse will need far more than a small retail unit. We can help you calculate the right quantity and spacing as part of our lighting design support.

What is the installation process for dimmable batten lights?

A dimmable batten light is surface-mounted or suspended and wired to a compatible dimming system by a qualified electrician. We supply the fittings and design guidance, but do not carry out installation, so we recommend using a certified contractor for fitting.

What is the lowest number of lumens a dimmable batten light can go?

Most dimmable LED battens can dim to around 1% of full output, dropping to roughly 50 to 100 lumens depending on the fitting. This low-level dimming suits ambient or out-of-hours lighting where minimal brightness is required.

LED tube lights vs LED batten lights

LED batten lights are complete, self-contained fittings, whereas LED tube lights are replacement lamps that need a separate housing or fixture. Battens are quicker to specify and offer better integrated dimming, making them a cleaner choice for new commercial and industrial installations.

What is the difference between direct and direct/indirect dimmable LED battens?

Direct dimmable battens cast all their light downward for focused task lighting, while direct/indirect models also emit light upward to bounce off the ceiling for softer, more even illumination. Direct/indirect battens reduce glare and shadows, making them well-suited to offices and retail spaces.
